The privacy and security of your personal information is of utmost importance to the International Grains Council(IGC). The services that IGC provides to you are subject to this Privacy Policy (“Policy”).
Through its public website, IGC provides you with access to a variety of resources, including free data and web-based subscription products (“Services”). The Services include any unbiased and independent web-based repository of data created to provide the most accurate information on grains, rice, oilseeds and pulses markets.
Unless otherwise specified and authorized by IGC, the Services we provide are for your personal and non-commercial use. You may not modify, copy, distribute, transmit, display, perform, reproduce, publish, license, create derivative works from the Service; or transfer, or sell any information, software, products or services obtained from the Services. Specifically, this includes a prohibition on the unauthorized use of automated software to retrieve, display, copy, store or otherwise use data obtained from our Services.
You may use our public website without providing any personal information to us.
If any of our Services requires you to open an account, you must complete the registration process by providing us with current, complete and accurate information as prompted by the applicable registration form. You will be issued with a password and your email will be your username. You are entirely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your password and account. Furthermore, you are entirely responsible for any and all activities that occur under your account. You agree to notify IGC immediately of any unauthorized use of your account or any other breach of security. IGC will not be liable for any loss that you may incur as a result of someone else using your password or account, either with or without your knowledge or authorisation. However, you could be held liable for losses incurred by IGC or another party due to someone else using your account or password. You may not use anyone else’s account at any time, without the permission of the account holder.
You will not use the Services for any purpose that is unlawful or prohibited by these terms, conditions, and notices. You may not use the Services in any manner that could damage, disable, overburden, or impair any IGC server, or the network(s) connected to any IGC server, or interfere with any other party’s use and enjoyment of any Services. You may not attempt to gain unauthorized access to any Services, other accounts, computer systems or networks connected to any IGC server or to any of the Services, through hacking, password mining or any other unauthorised means. You may not obtain or attempt to obtain any materials or information through any means not intentionally made available through the Services.

Online sign up forms
As part of our efforts to ensure the privacy of data coming from our online sign-up forms, your details will be held securely to update you on our programme activities. If you wish to stop receiving information from us via our mailing lists, please use the unsubscribe feature available in each communication or email us at igc@igc.int
If you are attending an online or physical event
We will collect your contact details via a secure registration portal to facilitate your attendance and participation at the event you have registered for.
IGC may extract statistical information—such as attendance figures—from the data collected to improve its online events. That information and the data on which it is based will not identify individuals. We may also use this data and information in our reporting to stakeholders.
Your contact details will be held securely on our mailing lists for the purpose of updating you on our online events. If you wish to stop receiving information from us via our mailing lists, please use the unsubscribe feature available in each communication.
Subscriptions and job applications
Any information provided to us via a job application, subscription application or request will be held securely. We may send you additional communications regarding other services that we think may be of interest to you if you have opted for these as part of registration.
Other
We may collect personal information without you entering it on the site, including by obtaining it from public sources, in person or from third parties, and use it to send you information we think may be of interest to you where we are permitted to do so by law. If you do not want to receive information from us, please reply to the communication or use the unsubscribe feature available in each communication and we will remove you from our lists.
We believe that we have appropriate security controls in place to protect personal data. We do not share your information outside IGC’s secretariat and will not use your information in ways other than those set forth in this Notice. However, we do not have any control over what happens between your device and the boundary of our information infrastructure. You should be aware of many information security risks that exist and take appropriate steps to safeguard your own information.
Our employees who have access to, and are associated with the processing of personal data, are obliged to respect the confidentiality of official business matters, including personal data.
IGC website contains links to other sites external to the IGC.int domain but IGC is not responsible for the privacy practices or the content of such sites.
Information is stored for the lifetime of the service provided. If at any time you would like us to stop storing your personal data, please contact IGC Secretariat igc@igc.int
